Founded in the year 2008 by Hner Akram Mohammad, G-Services Co. was based on generator maintenance and related electrical projects.
The team specialized in servicing some unique projects in Erbil and Duhok. Generator sizes varied from small to large generators (up to 1 MW). They also setup the first large scale energy storage systems (UPS) in the region. The UPS systems (up to 300 kV) were from the German brand AEG Power Solutions. The purchasing and the setup of these systems were completely carried out by G-Services Co.
The company soon realized the lack of a higher end oil brand in the market at the time. This is when work with the German brand Ravenol in early 2009 began and the company’s focus was shifted to selling lubricants for the automotive and industrial sectors after receiving a positive feedback from the market.
After obtaining the exclusive distributorship authority from Ravenol for the Iraqi market, the company had contributed to industry with unique ideas on how people perceived oil brands. Car owners were now more comfortable with their knowledge of what went into their car’s engines thanks to the informative staff.
As the years went by, G-services has sold Ravenol to almost every city in Iraq today and Mr.Hner has been of help to so many people that Ravenol’s name and Mr.Hner’s name go hand in hand in the market.
Today, G-Service is known for being Iraq’s exclusive distributor of its other German brand Mabanol. G-Services has expanded its services and is also Iraq’s exclusive distributor of the Turkish car care brand DVX (short for Divortex). Alongside its exclusive brands, G-Services is also able to serve its customers with many other major brands in the market, such as Mobil and Caterpillar.
